An exciting opportunity has become available with our prestigious client who is a prominent government department. The client is seeking an experienced SEND Transformation Lead to join their welcoming team.
The SEND Transformation Lead Role:
- To develop a programme for SEND transformation based on the above to ensure the agreed outcomes are achieved
- To ensure the dependencies, risks and issues are identified and managed effectively
- To work directly with senior leaders to challenge the status quo and initiate change
- To develop inclusive education, health and social care provision for children and young people with SEND in the Borough
- To develop and nurture strong, positive relationships with key stakeholders to ensure engagement and delivery of change.
What the SEND Transformation Lead Will Need:
- Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline or with a relevant professional or management qualification at post graduate level
- Extensive knowledge of the SEND system within a Local Authority environment
- Evidence of continued professional, managerial and personal development in relevant professional area
- Extensive experience of managing complex programmes including SEND Transformation and understanding of how to communicate with senior leaders
- Proven ability to draw on subject matter expertise as required, such as SEND, healthcare, social care and education
- Demonstrated understanding of the changing role of local authorities, the issues facing local government and the wider economy and how they impact relevant service areas
- Demonstrable understanding of the Efficiency Agenda, Value for Money, Business Improvement Techniques, and Performance Management and how this can be applied to a complex programme
- Project and Programme Management, Leadership and Team Working Skills
- Ability to apply discretion and initiative in dealing with complex issues
- Ability to think strategically and analytically to plan and execute programmes
- Experience of leading on new ways of working and delivery of culture change in a high profile complex systems
